Kitara has received a major boost with defender Dudu Ramadhan making his return from injury in time for upcoming StarTimes Uganda premier league fixture against SC Villa.

Dudu sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury (ACL) during a Uganda Cup encounter between Calvary FC and Kitara at the Midigo play grounds in Yumbe in April and subsequently ending his 2022/23 FUFA Big league season prematurely.

The center back has also missed some of the team’s pre season friendly games as he continued his rehabilitation process.
There was concern that his return could further delay for more weeks.

However, Dudu alleviated those fitness concerns by joining the rest of his teammates in full training last week and is already optimistic about the new season.

“I’m really delighted to return to full training. It’s not been an easy period on the sidelines but l’m now feeling stronger and better and want to focus on playing for my team again,” Dudu Ramadhan revealed in an interview.

He was part of the squad that traveled to Fort Portal last weekend for the friendly match against Tooro Province football team though didn’t play.

His swift return to training indicates he has recovered fully and will be available for selection in the upcoming engagements.

Kitara kick off the league with a visit away at the Wankulukuku stadium against Dudu Ramadhan’s former team, the Jogos on September 15.

It would be a great opportunity to face his former paymasters incase he’s named in the match day squad.

The towering defender has gained lots of experience over of the years having featured for BUL FC, Onduparaka FC and Mbarara City previously.

His return is a major boost to Brian Ssenyondo’s side who will be seeking a decent start to their second stint in the top flight.
