Kitara complete Ssemugabi move.
Brian Ssenyondo’s squad continues to reshape as Kitara gets closer to the 2023/24 Uganda premier league campaign.
The Royals have added Jude Ssemugabi to their ranks after agreeing a one year deal with him.
Following the expiry of his contract at Mbarara City, the forward has been a subject of interest from many clubs but Kitara have succeeded in acquiring his signature.

Ssemugabi has been a phenomenal figure for
the Ankole Lions since joining them from Kiboga Young FC ( now known as Mbale Heroes) in 2018.The former Mbarara City skipper plays as a forward but is also comfortable on either wings and will help Kitara with scoring options as well as adding depth and strength to Brian Ssenyondo’s side. The two will rekindle their affair having worked together before at Mbarara City in 2019 when the latter replaced Livingston Mbabazi.

His runs on the wings, good first touch on the ball, and quick change of feet make him a gem any coach would love to have in his squad. The departure of Patrick Kaddu in January saw Kitara struggle to score many goals in the second round of the Fufa big league en route to their promotion and the club hopes the arrival of Ssemugabi will help bridge the gap.
