SUPL Fixture:
30 -April- 2024
Kitara vs Mbarara City
Masindi stadium

Kitara will be aiming to cement their position at the summit of the table when they play Mbarara City FC in the StarTimes Uganda premier league this evening at the Masindi stadium.

The hosts currently lead with 47 points but have played a game more than second placed Vipers and will not want any further slip up during this final bend that is left with four games to wrap up the season.

Besides a point or two separates the chasing pack of BUL, SC Villa and NEC in the top five thus each of the remaining games can impact the title chase.

Brian Ssenyondo’s side returned to winning ways last week with 1-2 victory over Express away in Wankulukuku thanks to Kabon Living’s late goal. This result has lifted the team’s morale coming into today’s match.

Mbarara City FC missed a chance to move to 32 points after being held to a barren stalemate with army side, UPDF FC last week at Kakyeka stadium.

Despite being safe from relegation, the Ankole Lions’ record on the road is not the best as they are yet to win any gameĀ  this season.

Their last trip ended in a 4-0 defeat to KCCA and this encounter against Kitara won’t be any easier for Wasswa Bbosa’s men.

The reverse fixture in Mbarara ended 0-0 but the Royals know this is the best moment to inflict defeat on their rivals they have not beaten since the 2022/23 FUFA big league campaign.
