SUPL Fixture:
19 -April- 2024
Masindi stadium

Kitara have the chance to return to winning ways this Friday evening when the host Vipers in the StarTimes Uganda premier league at Masindi stadium.

They Royals come into this game having picked just one point from the possible six. They drew 0-0 with BUL and lost 1-0 to NEC earlier this month but still sit on top of the table with 44 points.

The Brian Ssenyondo coached side suffered a 2-1 defeat away in Kitende last November in the reverse fixture after Dudu Ramadhan’s equalizing header from Kabon Living’s setpiece in the dying minutes was controversially ruled out for offside.

Jude Ssemugabi had given Kitara an early lead before Bright Anukani levelled from the spot in the first half and later doubled the score to give the Venoms victory.

This particular fixture has been highly hyped and a lot is at stake for both teams that are in the title run in thus neither side would want to drop points.

To begin with, the hosts need to win this game to stretch their lead at the top and also keep their maiden title hopes alive.

In addition, Kitara would love to avenge their loss during first league and they believe today is the ripe opportunity to do this.

For the the Venoms, a second straight defeat at Masindi stadium is what they want to avoid after they were eliminated from the Uganda Cup on Sunday.

Furthermore, their only path to silverware this season is in the StarTimes Uganda premier league and Vipers must beat Kitara to stand a chance.

Kitara’s last 5 home matches:
