Kitara FC will play their first pre season match this evening when they face Ethiopia league and army side Mechal Sports Club at Addis Ababa stadium.
Mechal SC who will be celebrating their 80th anniversary are fresh after finishing second in the domestic league that ended at the start of July.
Kitara is expected to use this game to prepare for their upcoming rigorous pre season and continental football which kicks off next month, August 16 -18.
Kitara head coach, Brian Ssenyondo will be hoping his team can get the best from this encounter.
” The atmosphere here is almost the picture of what we shall face while playing on the continent next month besides the game, the boys are also trying to prepare themselves mentally.”
” About the game, we’ve done some preps that will help us. We know our fitness levels are not yet there but we are set and believe the lads will give their best and win this match, ” Ssenyondo explained.
Team news:
Ronald Otti and David Ndihabwe who joined the team this month are expected to play a part in the match.
Denis Omedi Jude Ssemugabi and Kabon Living are also expected to lead the attack for the Royals.
