Beating Express FC’s Isaac Wagoina and Jonah Patrick Kakande of SC Villa, our no. 24 picked his first award this season.

Omedi began the month of February notching a hat trick against UPDF before scoring the only goals in the wins against KCCA and Wakiso Giants. He managed a total of five goals for the Royals and helped them go on top of the league table.

Speaking to the club media after winning he said, “I am very happy, you know. I picked this award on behalf of my teammates. First of all I could not score these goals alone, my teammates created, assisted and defended well in every game while the coaches prepared us too, so it’s purely a team effort and not mine alone.”

” It also comes with a challenge that I have to work harder and maintain or better the performance in the remaining part of the season and I hope we can achieve more together.”

This is the striker’s first season in the top flight  and has already looked very impressive scoring 11 goals to equal Mohammad Shaban and Nelson Ssenkatuka’s current tally.

After what is his first individual award since joining the Kitara, and with some vital fixtures coming up, Omedi will no doubt hope he can continue to catch the eye for the Royals.

Congratulations on your award, Omedi!
