Kitara will be targeting to progress to the round of 16 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup when they play Kampala regional league entity CATDA football club this afternoon at the Coffee grounds in Bugolobi.
The Wasswa Bbosa coached side eliminated Young Simba 4-0 away in Bombo last month while their opponents made it past Mawokota FC.
According to Bbosa, today’s fixture will be taken with equal importance to the league and he believes his charges are well set to deliver.
” This is a knock out competition that means we have to play well, score goals and win to make it further and this is our agenda today. We won’t take them lightly because they are quite an organized side but the boys know what is at stake and will approach this game with positive character,” he said.
They Royals will have to make do without Titus Ssematimba who suffered an injury setback in our 2-0 victory over Bright Stars earlier on Monday.
Fred Amaku resumed training last week but won’t be risked as he still lacks match fitness, the forward will be available for our league clash at home versus URA next month.
Lastly, Solomon Okwalinga was named in the match day squad and could play a role in this game if selected.
