Kitara FC has received a huge boost after Benjamin Nyakoojo returned to training following recovery from an injury that kept him out of action for three months.

The towering center half fractured his fibula last November while featuring in the FUFA Drum competition for Tooro Province against Busoga United in Kamuli district and has since been under going rehabilitation.

He was involved in light training on the sides for the first time this week and there is hope his return to action is close.

‘ Benja has started light training though we want to take this process step by step until he is ready to play again. He had a successfully¬† rehabilitation process but we are now working on mobility, strength and flexibility exercises which is the second last stage before he can join the rest of his teammates. After this he will be back to playing competitive football again,” Royals’ medical team (Nicholas Ssengoba and Enock Kayondo) explained.

Prior to this setback, Nyakoojo had played six league games helping his team win five and his come back will be timely.

There is huge hopes that Nyakoojo will play his first game for the Royals this year against either URA, BUL or NEC FC.
