Brian Ssenyondo reflected positively on Kitara’s pre-season preparations after their 0-2 defeat of Pajobi United.

New signing Denis Omedi’s 53rd and 60th minute goals were enough to give the Royals victory.

The win was Kitara’s ninth of the pre season having beaten UPDF first division side, Free Stars FC, UCU football team, Kibuli Select, Kinyara FC, Kiboga United, Wakiso Giants and Tooro Province football team.

But it was more of the effort and performance , which pleased the gaffer as he makes the final touches in his side before they face SC Villa in the StarTimes Uganda premier league opener on September 15.

“We have played over eight practice matches games and we are glad the players have applied themselves really well.”

“When you look at how we played our first games, there was no team chemistry while mobility and transition on the pitch were not good. However, that has greatly improved and was visible in the matches against Tooro Province and Pajobi United,” Ssenyondo told Kitara media.

Ssenyondo went on to talk about the Royals’ attitude and tenacity.

“I was very pleased with the energy and intensity with which the players approached the game, hopefully we can maintain that performance going forward.”

Kitara will conclude their pre season friendlies with a return to Buliisa to face regional league side Bugoigo Leopards FC on September 8, at the Park Stadium.
