SUPL Match Day 18

1st - Mar- 2025

Kitara FC vs URA FC

Royals Park Stadium

4pm

Wasswa Bbosa wants his side to take another step forward when they host URA football club at the Royals Park Stadium in Butema this evening.

Kitara are on a nine match unbeaten run and recently beat Bright Stars 2-0 to climb to fifth place on the table and also eliminated CATDA FC away to progress into the last 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup last week.

This fixture will determine whether the Royals move further up or slip down the log. Kitara are guaranteed a move in 4th place a place above the tax collectors should they win while any result will dent their top four hopes.

“This stage of the season is very tricky,” said Bbosa. “We conceded a goal in the previous game though it was another competition however, we are focused on this match. Our aim is to maintain the good run and hopefully we do well today.”

The previous meeting between the two teams at the Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo ended 2-0 in favor of the tax collectors last November.

Kitara’s last victory over today’s opponent came during David Obua’s reign when the Royals edged them 3-0 in Masindi thanks to goals from Denis Omedi, Jude Ssemugabi and Kabon Living.

Team news:

Fred Amaku is available to play this evening after recovering from a minor knock during our draw with UPDF last month.
