SUPL Matchday 21
March -14 – 2024
Kitara vs URA FC
Masindi stadium

Table leaders Kitara will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten run in the second round of the league, and in the process stretch their lead at the top when they host URA football club.

The Royals are in fine form at the moment  winning three and drawing two of their five matches played in the second round thus far. They enter this match having beaten UPDF FC, Wakiso Giants, KCCA and drew with SC Villa and  Maroons FC.

The reverse fixture away at the Metha stadium in Lugazi saw both sides play out to a 2-2 draw. Kitara took an early lead through Kabon Living before Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Najib Fesali put the tax collectors ahead but Brian Aheebwa came off the bench to equalize.

David Obua’s side travel to Masindi off a one all draw with BUL at home and know that beating the Royals before their fans will take something special.

Nine points separate the two sides with Kitara on 40 while their visitors have 31, and with the league approaching a tight bend winning their home games is key for the hosts if they are to achieve their top five finish.

Team news:

Brian Aheebwa is still on compassionate leave following the loss of his father last week.

Kabon Living returns from suspension after accumulating three yellow cards that saw him miss the match against Maroons FC.

Benjamin Nyakoojo missed the first leg through injury but is back and will face his former side since leaving them last August.
