SC VILLA 🆚 KITARA FC
4pm
Muteesa II stadium
Kitara travel to Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku where they will be involved in an intense battle to return to winning ways when they take on SC Villa in the Uganda premier league this evening.
Wasswa Bbosa’s team advanced to the semi finals of the Uganda Cup last Sunday with a hard fought 1-0 win over BUL FC at the Royals Park stadium in Butema and will be hoping to end their two match winless run in the league when they play the jogoos later today.
On the other hand SC Villa come into this game on the back of a 0-2 victory over Mbarara City away at Kakyeka and will be eager to avenge their defeat they suffered in the reverse fixture.
Kitara has not lost to Villa in their last five meetings across all competitions but face a tricky test especially with three of their players suspended.
Kaddu Patrick, George Senkaaba and Titus Ssematimba are out following their involvement in the chaotic Uganda Cup quarter final match versus Bul.
The hosts will also miss the services of their skipper David Owori and defender Geoffrey Lubangakene who were sent off in the 2-0 win over Mbarara City.
However, the gaffer believes an excellent Kitara performance will be required to overcome the Jogoos at their own yard.
” We want to see a real fight from the players, more determination and the will to win the game. We have to exhibit a positive character because our opponents will also come ready to win but we have to be prepared,” Bbosa said.
Both sides are on 36 points with Kitara up in 5th and a win for the Royals will take them to 39 points.
Team news:
Kabon Living and Benjamin Nyakoojo are unavailable due to injury. This will be the third game without the duo but Jude Ssemugabi returns after recovering from illness.
