Stanbic Uganda Cup 2025:
Quarter Final fixture
20 -April- 2025
Kitara FC 🆚 BUL FC
3PM
Royals Park stadium
Kitara host BUL FC at the Royals Park Stadium on Easter Sunday where the two sides will be fighting for a spot in the last four of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
It is such a crucial encounter for both teams as it presents the only opportunity at winning silverware this campaign.
Kitara will seek to utilize home advantage and draw energy from their passionate supporters to go past in form BUL in the quarter final.
Kitara played a goalless league draw with Lugazi earlier this week at a soaked Royals Park following a heavy down pour but aim to return to winning ways on Sunday afternoon.
Kitara assistant coach George Lutalo is convinced that his side is focused and determined to change the results.
“Any team in the knockout round has to be a good team. We have shown a good character from the opening round and the boys gave a good account of themselves and made sure we get to this stage. We are not worried about our visitor’s recent form, we have prepared ourselves well both technically and mentally. It will be a good battle,? said Lutalo.
Meanwhile, it will not be an easy task for the reigning Stanbic Uganda Cup champions against BUL considering that the former has never beaten their visitors in their past 7 meetings across all competitions.
🤜🤛 Head to head
An examination of past results between these clubs going back to the 2020/21 season reveals that these fixtures have not been fruitful for Kitara.
They’ve not managed to register any wins at all whereas BUL have rather been better than them, getting five wins, drawing twice and no loss.
A combined sum of 18 goals were shared by the two clubs during those clashes, with 12 of them for BUL and 6 netted by Kitara.
In their last visit at the Royals Park stadium last October, BUL won 1-3 with Martin Aprem, Walter Ochora and Dickson Matama scoring for them while Kitara’s goal came from defender Arthur Kiggundu in the 28th minute.
The most recent meeting between these clubs was on 6/03/2025 in the league and the score finished BUL FC 1-0 Kitara at the Hamz stadium - Nakivubo.
