Uganda Cup: Semi finals
27 -April- 2024
Kitara vs Pajule Lions
3 PM
Masindi stadium

Kitara host the Pajule Lions at Masindi stadium where they will be hoping to capitalize on their home advantage in the first leg of the Uganda Cup semi finals.

The Royals know that they must win with a comfortable margin this evening and have one step in the finals before they travel to Pader for the return leg next month.

Brian Ssenyondo’s side has had to face fellow league opponents from the round of 32 to the last 8. They have eliminated Gaddafi FC, SC Villa and reigning champions Vipers and now have Pajule Lions whom they must overcome before advancing to their ever first finals.

During the pre match interview, Ssenyondo admitted it won’t be an easy fixture and won’t take it lightly.

” You must give credit to Pajule Lions for they have worked hard to get here, they are not at this stage by chance. They have upset credible opponents on their way to this stage and I think this fixture against Kitara has further motivated them.”

” We are not going to take them lightly because we have made thorough preparations for this game and also want to progress to our first Uganda cup final.”

This will be the first meeting between these two sides and the Royals will fancy their chances in this encounter.

The eventual winner over the two legs will advance and face the victor between NEC and BUL.

Team news:

George Senkaaba, Ibrahim Magandaazi and Donato Okello are the only absentees for this tie.
