Kitara visit Wakiso Giants at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium on Wednesday evening seeking their third straight victory on the road in the StarTimes Uganda premier league.

Brian Ssenyondo’s side picked wins against SC Villa and Gaddafi at Wankulukuku and Jinja respectively but a tricky encounter with the Purple Sharks awaits them.

Kitara skipper, Maxwell Owachigiu believes it will be a tough test despite his team’s good run.

“They (Wakiso Giants) will be out to challenge us because they are at home and need to rise to the occasion but we have to be more determined than we were during our last game. Our approach towards the game as well as character must be positive,” he said.

“Our recent run has really motivated the team but we have to keep calm, discipline and teamwork on the pitch if we are to maintain this performance.”

The Wakiso based outfit have had an  inconsistent show of sorts in their last four matches.  They have won and drawn one game apiece and lost twice thus a quick response will be high on agenda when they face second place Kitara.

Should the Royals win, they will have registered their fifth straight league victory and will remain either first or second on the sixteen team log.

This will be the third meeting between Kitara and Wakiso Giants and here are the key things you need to know heading into this game.

Head to Head:

Last meetings:

10/03/2021: Kitara 3-2 Wakiso Giants (Kavumba)
